Less than 4 weeks before my theater trip in May, and I'm already making plans for my second trip in November...
I will be traveling with my girlfriend and three of her sisters November 22nd to the 25th. Her sisters have never been to NY, and we wanted to show them. Already found a good hotel deal for 2 rooms (us sharing a King Room, her sisters sharing another room), and now the search for theater tickets begin. Her sisters are not interested in seeing any shows, but I promised my girlfriend to take her to Moulin Rouge as part of our private date night Saturday the 23rd.
I went on Ticketmaster, and a lot of the tickets up in the Mezzanine were of the ridiculous variety of $400 to $300 per ticket. However, I did find 2 tickets on the aisle in Row L (11 rows back) that were $180 each, which I thought was pretty good. Is that a good view for the Al Hirschfeld? Has anyone sat around that area recently? I've never sat in the Mezz before. Hope it's not too far back. Also, how is the Mezz for leg room there?
Thank you in advance, and very excited to see this production!
It's a big, splashy show - I'd think you'd be fine. I was definitely further than that in Boston (in a much bigger house) and thought it was a great view.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

A website I always refer to when looking for seats is A View From My Seat. Below is a link to the Al Hirschfield Theatre. I used this when purchasing tickets to this show and am sitting in Right Mezz Row G for $139 in August. Good luck and have fun!
I liked it a lot....beautiful to look at, great choreo. It wasnt perfect, but i had a great time and look forward to seeing it again.
