Perhaps he will change his mind about the boyfriend, just like he did about the Rent movie.

I'm thinking we give it a year and Munk ends up on Starting Over.

I cringe at the lifelong therapy bills that the boyfriend will be running up (if he wisens up, that is).

He did wise up. Act Two of Rent made him a new man!

And, I'm sorry, but I deplore fags who are anti-gay or the "gay lifestyle" or the gay community or what have you. It is indicative to me of extreme self bitterness more than it is even internal homophobia. Most of the queers who hate that "lifestyle" are people who got rejected one too many times by hot guys or by fun cliques. And, if by gay lifestyle, we mean bars and clubs--then I would suggest it isn't the gay lifestyle you hate--it's the bar and club lifestyle you hate. HUGE difference.
And, if you hate feminine men, well smell you Nancy Drew because usually the ones who hate fem men are the biggest fems themselves. And, it's just sexist. I say let men and women be however they want to be. Don't hate fem or butch--hate bitchy, catty, and bitterness. THAT I can get behind.

hate bitchy, catty, and bitterness.
But I embrace them.
But I embrace them.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

That's too easy. How can one remain smug and superior if one does that?

well, there is good catty and bitchy and the bad catty and bitchy
I would guess the latter is what offends people who hate the "gay lifestyle".

wow what a sweet guy i'm sorry but him changing by the end of the show sounded to forced and fake. i dont know if i believe someone with that much hate can change in that small of a period of time. i think he is so scared at admitting he is gay that he puts up that homophobic shield.

The story would have been more compelling if at the end the prince had gone off to volunteer at an AIDS hospice or something.

I'll tell you why I can believe it:
I am guessing that bf doesn't truly feel all those things he says. I am guessing that he has a lot of hurt inside him and these comments are his defense shield. I am guessing that he let his guard down and those pretty songs moved him. I am guessing that, perhaps, it did affect him enough to stop being a **** for at the very least that evening and to take another look at things in life. Hopefully, he will change. Nothing is in stone and we are all allowed to grow and evolve as people. And, if we do that, we deserve a second chance and to be taken at face value for who we have become--not held to what we once were.

Yes, but in his case, what he once was was like an hour ago.

Or perhaps if he had collapsed in Munk's arms at the end, had a near death experience and came back to life proclaiming he had seen the light it might have been a little more believable.
PEACE.

She didn't moo at the end in the movie, though.

Oh...THAT'S why Munk hated the movie, right? The moo-less ending.
And Jerby...I think I nominate you to be the new host of Starting Over!!!
