"Confused" as in, "I don't know if I like boys or girls" confused? Or "Confused" as in, "I don't know what the frick is going on here" confused?
PEACE.

I think that your story was nice. Maybe it's just me, but I found it inspiring. That people can actually change. Thank you for sharing.

I get home and there's five pages on this thread after my first post and I was expecting a lot of "Oh Namo, you're so mean," but instead I see hilarity and Kringas holding some sort of line for a little REALITY here.
Whoever keeps referring to the boyfriend as "the prince" has the narrative wrong. Munk says Butchie treats HIM "like a prince."
Even though the story seems completely fake to me, if it's not, I just NEED to know what kind of split-brain existence can have opinions that can be summed up as:
"I hate these characters, I'm glad they have AIDS, they're disgusting.... on the other hand it REALLY came together in the second act and I see the error of my ways."
In WHAT universe do people behave in this way?

Munk has said that the boyfriend is descended from Italian royalty. Whether that makes him a prince or duke or earl, I'm not sure.

I'm not often accused of holding any line of reality.
And what Margo said about the boyfriend.

--- EXACTLY. I just can't bring myself to believe that a male with a BOYFRIEND, would say they are glad a gay male has aids. Come on now? That just does not seem like reality.
I also just find it hard to believe that someone who is all "I hate faggots, yay that guy has aids" - has the ability to treat a GAY MALE like a prince.

Does anybody know if this is Munk's first serious relationship? (I notice he hasn't reappeared in the thread in a while, but if he feels like answering, even better.) Fact is, first relationships need to end so we can get on with our lives and not repeat the insane stupid patterns we establish in them.

ljay - you might want to research the life and infamous times of Roy Cohn. That might give you a little insight into what is confusing you.

Even if it isn't his first, it's got to be one of the first, as I don't think he's very old.

I'm bumping this thread only because I'm bored and need entertainment.
When I saw Rent, I was also moved to change.
My underwear, that is, to remove the massive pile that had collected there from the dreck I was seeing onstage.
But it did change (my underwear) forever.

I actually love RENT when I saw it. Not to mention I heard there was a blind lady in the balcony who was cured at the end of act two.

Did she moo?
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

I think she was immediately blessed with the ability to recreate the choreography for "Out Tonight."It also cured her of her bigotry and hatred towards other unsighted peoples.

Was she also blessed with a figure that could carry off blue vinyl pants and a silver bra top?

It's still here? It's like CHRISTMAS!
And I may not be descended from Italian royalty, but Uncle Pippi, who went to 'college' for 13 years, ended up with the best garbage route in NYC when he 'graduated'. THOSE are the types of Italians who know how to treat people like royalty.
