I had people in my row decide they wanted to sit on the aisle and since the people who had those seats hadn't shown up yet they decided they could. They laid their coats and bags all over their own seats and sat in the seats on the end. But guess what...the people showed up! It was after the curtain had gone up and the people sitting there got all huffy that they had to move. Yes, latecomers can be a nuisance at times but if you're in your own seat you'd have nothing to be huffy about.

I hate it when people call regular theater programs (like, say, high school show programs or the Center Theater Group's Performances magazine) Playbills. No, it isn't a Playbill. Why not, you ask? IT DOESN'T SAY PLAYBILL ACROSS THE TOP. 'kay? 'kay.

The term "playbill" existed before the company "Playbill", so it's still an accurate term for even the high school shows.

Actors/actresses who step into roles after a "star" and do nothing to make the role/song(s)their own and simply "imitate" (often badly) the "star"

Many times, that's not the actors' choice. They're instructed to imitate the star by the director/stage manager and (not being a star) don't have the career standing and balls to protest. You can't exactly fault them for doing what they're told.

Yes, it's terribly annoying when people behind you are talking.

Ya know, I never really thought about that... Even if that is the case in some cases, that still annoys me *lol*

People in the audience who would rather be watching paint dry. Why bother paying money to be bored? I once had this couple next to me and the guy was cleary dragged to see the show by his girlfriend. He was reading his playbill and fidgeting the ENTIRE performance because he was so bored. I can't say I'm a big fan of getting elbowed in the side throughout the show.
