Some of my favorites. Even though some of them changed a lot, they're all amazing movie musicals, and they still hold up in 2015, in my opinion.

Cabaret, West Side Story, and Fiddler are the only three I can think of that I really admire without reservation.

The last few movie musicals we have had have just been terrible. Nine (awful), Into The woods (1st half was good and then disney crapped on the second half) and don't even get me started on How Tom Hooper butchered Les Mis.

West Side Story, Cabaret, The Sound of Music, and Dreamgirls. I know there were many changes from stage to screen in some of these, but they were all very well done with some great performances!

I've enjoyed Hairspray, Cabaret, Little Shop, Dreamgirls, Into The Woods, and West Side Story. I also enjoyed The Last Five Years.
