I know Sprint just recently came out with a whole list of Broadway ringtones...but if you could pick any song to have play on your phone, what would it be? Are there interesting song lyrics out there that would be really cool or funny coming out of your phone. Ex.: Jesus called me on my cell phone from Altar Boyz.

i listened to some of them (and downloaded a few) on sprint. it's really odd how they edit them...Brooklyn's Once Upon A Time starts in the middle of a growl-ly phrase, and Defying Gravity just says "I think I'll try defying gravity" over and over...ha ha.

still a cool idea though, i think...

and i think that telephone song from Bye Bye Birdie would be funny...

I wake up every day to Norbert Leo Butz singing "Dancing Through Life". Sad, isn't it?

I want the Shark's Mambo section from WEST SIDE STORY's "Dance At The Gym."

I'd also like "The Calling," from Altar Boyz. Hehe. The only problem is that I'd wind up missing the call because I'd be singing along.

Hmm... I kind of like the idea of "The Ballad of Sweeney Todd," too. There's no way you'd be able to miss that steam whistle, and you'd get to scare the people around you, because your cell phone is playing music about razors, and vengeance, and whatnot. re: Musicals Ringtones

I agree, "Defying Gravity" was a waste of money. The song "Popular" rings when my teenage daughter calls me...they captured a nice part of the song on that ring tone. I wish they'd offer "Here I Am" from DRS...I'd download that one.

Right now I have Gerry Butler singing The Phantom of the Opera, but I'd really love to see some DRS tones out there. My old phone used to let you actually record your ringtones, now I wish I'd kept it, lol.

I got the defying gravity one. I am pissed that I paid $2.50 for that POS.

If you have a Mac computer, and therefore have iMovie, you can make your own versions off of the actual song and then download it onto your phone via Bluetooth (which most have now, I believe).

I currently have Seasons of Love on my phone, the theme from Ferris Bueller (i know, not broadway, but still), Rent from Rent, then the "I gotta get outta here, it feels like I'm tied to the roof of a yellow rental truck..." from Over the Moon in Rent...FREAKs everyone out when it plays.

I am waiting for a new batch of broadway CDs I just ordered to create more.

I made my own ringtone of Defying Gravity. My mobilphone sings "So if you care to find me, look to the western sky, as someone told me lately everyone deserves a chance to fly." I really like it. re: Musicals Ringtones

so, where do you get these ringtones? just on sprint phones? and how do u make ringtones?
wow, im confused!

re: Musicals Ringtones#16

It's really easy. You just have to cut the part of the song you want on your mobilphone from the mp3 with a special software like Adobe Audition and transfer it as a mp3 track to your mobilphone. Of couse it has to be a modern mobilphone with mp3 player or something like that. re: Musicals Ringtones

Ringtones like that don't work with my crappy old (literally...it's really old) Verizon phone, but if I could choose just ONE it would be the phrase from "Happy New Year" where Maureen sings, "Honey, I know you're there. Please pick up the phone."

I would be the happiest little cell phone owner in the world if I had that ringtone.

I use "I've Got Your Number" from Little Me or the opening to Company.

On Verizon I just added:
I wanna be a producer (from The Producers)
If I were gay (from Ave Q)
New Music (from Ragtime)

Love it and now I need "Fine, Fine Line" and more Ragtime tunes

Does ANY company have "THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS"?

I've been looking forever for that one.

I'd want the callin too!!! haha its like the perfect phone song

I have Tell her I love Her and Follow Your Heart from Urinetown on my phone right now too. Some phones have it so you compose your own ring. It's hard, but you can do it, its usually only monotone though, but it works!!!

Does anyone know if Cingular has Broadway ringtones? I looked forever but couldn't find any, so I settled for Dashboard Confessional.

I would want Seasons of Love or All That Jazz.

What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.
