Are you even aware that Fanny Brice was not black?
Would you like a revival of "The King and I" with Ricky Martin as The King as well?"
Not even getting into whether Funny Girl can be cast with an artist of color, every time I see this new trend of dream-casting Jennifer Hudson in the role all I see is, once again, people forgetting that the star of the show has to actually be funny (it's kind of in the title).

People of color have played white characters many times before, I think most would accept a black Fanny Brice. Although Hudson wouldn’t be my top choice, and I feel like she won’t do Broadway again too soon, as it seems like she was pretty pissed about not getting a nomination for The Color Purple.

Trying to imagine being this small minded that you can't picture a character(she is a character as she's a greatly exaggerated version of Fanny Brice) traditionally played by a white woman being interpreted by a black woman. Grow up.
That being said, Jennifer Hudson would be a horrid Fanny as the role requires acting... Would love to hear her sing any of the songs though!
