Musicals that you don't want to see?- Page 2

PattiLover- you hit it right on the head for me. I have been a fan of musicals and Broadway since I was a kid and I was remarking to my husband a few weeks back on how there is not a fricking thing that I want to see, listen to, or even look up. It has been that way for a while now. I thought it was maybe that I was growing out of my 37 year old musical phase but now I know it's just that there is crap on the boards right now. Thank goodness for France and Germany. Euro shows are at least a bit more interesting then what's going on here. I'm starting to have to turn to opera for entertainment ..

I changed my mind and went to see Memphis. It was actually pretty good. But the songs were forgettable.

I can honestly say I never have this mentality about theatre, I'll go and see anything.

I'm not suprised to see so many people say ROCK OF AGES, I had the same mindset.

But one of my friends dragged me to see it when we were in London this summer, I relunctantly went, and LOVED every second of it. It knows what it is, it's just a good time. Great music and some hysterical characters.
