I'd have to agree with you Catstage, I thought the guy had strong vocals and did great. The girl had a beautiful voice. Her audition tape was amazing. But she did have a lot of attitude for the song. I'm upset they didn't ask the Avenue Q people what they thought, but I guess they needed to recap the entire week.

As for the entire competition, personally, I would narrow the girls down to Kate who sang 'Chicago' and the girl who sang 'Hairspray'. With the edge going to Kate.

The guys would be between the guy from 'The Wedding Singer' and the guy from 'Hairspray'. That one's a toss up. Probably giving a slight edge to the Wedding Singer guy because he seems consistent and has that pure tone which will contribute a lot to any ensemble (i.e. Dirty Rotten)

That's just my opinion....what do I know? (HOWEVER, each person did amazing and if any of you go on this website, congratulations!)

i disagree. i thought both the girl and guy today were phenomenal. The girl had an amazing voice and her acting was totally appropriate. Throughtout the week all other contestants just stood there.
The guy was great too. I think he was the best guy this week.

Sean was miles ahead of the rest of the guys this week. He was the only one who showed personality and also had a unique voice. If he had sung from a pop musical there would be no question, but the fact that he was the only one with older material and still nailed it shows versatility.

Broadway is about finding unique people who can captivate an audience, not finding voices to fit into an ensemble.

....also go Kat and Kate!

I agree with that too, it was just my opinion.

I think Sean did amazing as well.

She definitely brings down the house...no matter what she's in, she steals the show.

I voted for her and Sean.

I've gotta disagree linkster...I think Brianna's vocals were really nice. But I felt the acting values were not appropriate for the song...Kate is heartbroken and upset...trying to find solace somewhere...the kinda of attitude that she gave didn't feel honest and true for me. Regardless, my votes went to Kyle and Kate with honorable mentions to Sean and Brianna (vocally speaking only)

As an ASHA certified show pony/horse judge I've seen what it takes to win.

Kate FitzGibbons has a fire in her eyes; a look that displays her strong demeanor; I see it in a lot of Shetlands who eventually go on to become some of the greatest in their weight class.

A couple of the gentlemen show the same intensity as well. Sean reminds me of an Arabian prancing throught the grandstands seconds before he is declared the winner, while Mr. Harris has the heart of a Clydesdale.

The best of luck to all the contestants this weekend. In my book they all at least get honorable mention.
