My Rent Soundtrack Review !!!!!!!!

I just got the soundtrack and I like it alot.......I like how Seasons of Love opens up the soundtrack and I also like how alot of the songs are done and I must say that Rosaria Dawson sounds like a really good Mimi and Jesse L. Martins new takes on the I'll Cover U Reprise...is really good...it was really good.

I can't wait to see the movie....I LOVE the soundtrack and I also own the OBC Recording

why do you deserve your own thread? couldn't this have been added to one of the other review threads? why do you deserve your own? really... even if the reason is vain, I'd still like to know... go ahead...

Mmm, I hope it's as good as the version on the OBC because I'll Cover You (Reprise) is my FAVORITE song on the OBC....; )

I've only listen to the first disc, but I think Rosario is really good. I love her voice. I expected it to be really weak, but its not at all. I'm in love with her songs. I could care less for Today 4 U, but I hated that song to begin with.

why do you deserve your own thread? couldn't this have been added to one of the other review threads?

This is something I wonder about most review threads. Why does each person who goes to see Sweeney (or In My Life or whatever) need his or her own thread?

I'm sorry :'(...........wait...I'm not going to apologize....If I wanna give my review I will...alot people give reviews when they go see a show thats on tour or on Broadway...why can't I give my review....and why are you singling me out?????

Anyway...........your right Jesse IS amazing...and Wilson Jermaine Heredia IS amazing also.

theonlyone..."I'll Cover You (Reprise)" is my favorite song as well, and I found the one of the soundtrack to be terribly disappointing.

Dude. Not to be rude, but seriously, where have you been? It's all over this board. Tracie replaced Fredi Walker, the original Joanne, due to any one of four billion reasons, most likely age. I think they said it was age in some recent article. Google her.

Tracie replaced Gilles Chiasson. She was the leader of the Symbionese Liberation Army before that.

I almost said she replaced Idina, but then I realized it probably wouldn't be funny.

Well, I guess the prospect MAY have been brought up to her, but not really. I guess. I don't think any of us know for sure, really.

Before the Rent movie, Tracie was a Mid-Eastern exotic dancer for the Sultan of Arabia. She worked a steady job dancing until she was caught having an affair with the Sultan's son, Abi Ramad di Alibali. She was sentenced to death by the Sultan, but with the help of Abi and his wife (who thought Tracie was only a friend), Ramalama Digunta, Tracie fled to England, then to the United States where she met Christopher Columbous under a bridge.

He saw something in her and instantly cast her as Joanne, instead of casting Fredi Walker-Browne, who was in the musical. Fredi was not cast because she had aged too much due to a spell put on her by Mary Bond Davis - fearing Fredi may be a threat to her career.

He's fabulous. I saw him in Caligula, but I didn't realize why I knew his name until I got home.

I'd also like to make a motion that (and this goes for threads everywhere) only one exclamation point or question mark can be used at a time in a thread title. And that I never again see the dreaded "?!" combination. I once saw a thread titled something like "Celia Keenan-Bolger ?!?!!??!!!" and I'm still shaken up over it.
