Last night I had a dream where I was at work and all of a sudden I got an e-mail saying that there was new scenes from the RENT movie available on the internet and I clicked it and there was this number with Angel that is not in RENT but it was AMAZING!!! Then all of a sudden, I was drawn into my computer and was a part of RENT, like I was another major character (I even had a song). Has anyone had any dreams involving musicals or musical numbers?

I dreamed I was to go on as Boq in Wicked, but Chris Fitz didn't want me to, so he hid my costumes...

I had a dream I may have posted about a while ago that I was singing "Getting Married Today" with the cast of Altar Boyz. I woke up and realized my diction in the dream was better than my diction in real life.

I had a dream that someone sang "If Ever I Would Leave You" from Camelot to me. It was one of the nicest dreams I've ever had re: My dream

"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness. Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings. Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end. But end it does. Another part of you vanishes. That's show business."-Anonymous

Don't worry I have really odd broadway related dreams too. Last night I had a dream that i went to the Gershwin just as the show was ending and bought, without having to pay, for a new extremely large program that was printed on tissue paper. it featured stephanie as elphaba during Defying Gravity. so thne i looked for the stage door, which was miraculously inside. so once i found it david ayers came out and signed my pen with my oen? i know wierd. then i found out joan crawford, as played by faye dunaway was inside for her show. well...it was an entertaining night.

I dreamt I brought a friend to Phantom of the Opera, we were in front row center seats...and then they announced that the chandelier wasn't working and would not be a part of the performance. It was a really bad nightmare...

I have had several of these dreams. The first one was last year in November. I was sitting in the audience of Wicked and JLT was unable to perform and the understudy and stand-by were sick too. They needed someone to perform and so they asked for an audience member who could sing the part and I raised my hand. They brought me backstage and put me into costume. I went out and performed and got a ton of applause at the end.

The other one I had was on December 29th, the night I saw Wicked. I wound up playing Elphaba because of something, I don't remember how. I was a little shaky on the high belting parts but I ended up playing the part for a year.

I also had one where the fired Emmy Rossum and used me for Christine in the movie of POTO. Let's just say that I am very wierd.

I had a dream a while back where my choir was supposed to be in the ensemble of Wicked in Chicago. This is only noteworthy since it wasn't even Broadway I was dreaming about, and it's not like I live in Chicago (though I'm from there, originally). Then, for some bizarre reason, I was supposed to go on as Galinda. So I'm running around in my hotel room (which, in the dream, resembled my house), in the dress Elphaba wears for act two, having a friend (who in real life, knows next to nothing about the show) coach me through what to do. It was bizarre...

Hah,

During the summers I work for one theatre company, and every year during the run of the show the whole cast has weird weird dreams, usually involving cast members sleeping with each other. Hah...can't wait for this years.

i've had tons of nightmares about being in a show and not being ready, or something goes wrong. they usually happen during tech week. and they freak me out.
just the other night i had a dream i was mother in ragtime but an hour before the show, i realized that we had never run through "back to before." it was frightening. luckily i woke up to find it wasn't true.
