Ok, I'm helping a friend find a song. I need something uptempo for a baritone that is NOT by Schwartz, Sondheim, or JRB and post 1965 (NON-pop). Whatcha got for me?

Wow, that's pretty tough!

How about "Oh What a Circus" from Evita or "Do you hear the people sing" from Les Miz--I don't know that they're actually "baritone" songs, but they're not too high, and they're pretty up-tempo.

OOOOOH--or how about something that Gaston sings in Beauty and the Beast ("Me" is a good one, and "Kill the Beast" is up-tempo, although that would be a weird choice :) )

Hope it helps!

The Hooker's Ball from "The Life"

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Farewell, Good Angel from "Jane Eyre" might work. It's fairly uptempo although angsty =)
