I was wondering which reviewers carry the most weight. Obviously The NY Times is the most important, but how would you rank the rest? Here's a list based on my impression, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.
The New York Times
Variety
Associated Press
The Wall Street Journal
Entertainment Weekly
NY Post
USA Today
AM New York
Time Out NY
NY Daily News
Bloomberg
The Hollywood Reporter
New Jersey Newsroom
Los Angeles Times

Entertainment Weekly is by far the most important. When they said RENT was CATS with Doc Martins, I knew that show was going to close within three months.
I would say the USA Today outside of the NY papers.
You forgot to mention NewYorkTheater on that list. And also are we basing this on the real world or SMASHLAND?
Haha! Well in SMASHLAND there's a secret quote-pulling room!
You left out Newsday which services all of Long Island. Long Island has heavy theatregoers.
> Long Island has heavy theatregoers.<
While that may certainly be so, I'm sure there are some who look after their figures.
How did ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY become a respectable rag when it comes to theatre/reviews?
