NY Trip Show Dilemas!

I am deciding between the two plays. Obviously they are very different, but which one would be the most worthwhile in terms of quality, acting and plot? Thank you!!!

We saw Shinung City & loved it. Based on the description of Faith Healer, I would say Shining City

I loved both, but I'd say go for Shining City. In terms of quality, acting and plot, Shining City has the advantage for two out of three (quality and plot). The acting for Faith Healer was probably the best I will ever see in my life.

I will be in NYC a Monday-Saturday (19-24). Here are a few other dilemas:
Monday- Forbidden Bway OR Jacques Brel
Tues.-Drowsy Chaperone
Wed.-The Color Purple and Shining City
Thursday-Awake and Sing
Friday-Tarzan OR Wedding Singer
Sat.-Threepenny and History Boys

Any opinions or comments? I think this makes for a pretty good week of theater!

I hated both Shining City and Faith Healer, but Shining City was slightly better.
As to the other dilemmas, see these:
Monday: Forbidden Broadway (best show in NYC)
Thursday: WEDDING SINGER (hands down, Tarzan blows!)

I saw Forbidden Bway a year ago, and have the SVU recording. It's funny, but will there be new material starting the 6th, or is it the same as the recording?

Id say do FB one night and JB the other, forget Wedding Singer & Tarzan all together- theyre both dreadful. But yes, definitly SHINING CITY over FAITH HEALER...the acting is great, the play I just couldnt justify seeing.

The Wedding Singer is not dreadful, it is a lot of fun. See it and decide for yourself.

Forbidden Broadway and The Wedding Singer! Both entertaining and fun!

I've heard mixed things about Faith Healer and Shining City. I'd personally go with Faith Healer because the performances are supposed to be great. What an awsome line-up! It's cool that you get to see so many shows while you're here! Hope you have a great trip!

While it's true that the cast of Faith Healer is amazing, the entire show consists of 4 half-hour monologues (2 in the first act, 2 in the second). Even though the acting is good, it is SOOO boring. I fell asleep for a few minutes (and I was standing!). Shining City has a much more interesting plot.

It's probably because I'm tired, but I read that as "NY Strip show dilemas". Totally thought this was gonna be a thread on Broadway Bares.
