Posted: 8/1/13 at 10:31pmTaking a brief trip to NYC for work in early October 4 days, 3 nights and wanted to see some shows. Any hot tickets you would recommend that'll be playing by then I might want to see? Want to start working on securing tickets now.

Pippin and Menagerie, no doubt. If you are buying tix now for Pippin, you should have no problem. I've heard that Menagerie was selling gads of tix as premium....but I think that was several weeks ago, it may have changed.
I saw Menagerie her in Boston and absolutely fell in love with it. I hope you enjoy it, too.

Pippin, Kinky Boots, The Glass Menagerie, Betrayal. If you want good seats, buy your tickets now.
Hotel prices are pretty steep in October as fall is peak season. I've always had great success with Hotwire and during that time of year can usually get a 4-star property in Midtown East for $175-$200 or in Midtown Central/Times Square for $200 - $250. Just be diligent and start checking every day as the great deals appear suddenly and don't last for long. I'm currently looking for early October as well and no bargains have shown up yet.

The above prices are for Friday - Sunday nights. During the week, expect to pay about $100 more per night.
