If Natasha/Pierre's website is counting down to ticket sales, will we be able to figure out an idea what the set is? I'm assuming telecharge or whoever needs to know where the seats are if they're going to sell tickets.

Well, we presumably will know how the space is set up in terms of seating.

How will they be able too figure out any seat configurations with Les miserables still in there?

Because they'll have designed it in advance?
A show playing in a space doesn't mean the designers of the incoming show can't... design. The dimensions and restrictions of the space don't change because Les Mis is there.

They changed seating at the ART. I had tickets for one section that ended up not being available. So they switched me.

Bumping this thread as ticket sales begin soon and I'm trying to be prepared. Does anyone have any more information about how the Imperial Theatre will be configured? Do you think it will be designed like at ART, just on a larger scale?
Also, for anyone who saw the show at ART, what was your experience of the different seating areas (Orchestra, Lower Stools, Banquettes, Upper Banquettes, Sunken Lounges, Raised Lounge) and seating types (Table Seats, Banquettes, Stools, Orchestra Seats, Cabaret Seats)?
Which, if any, were considered Premium? Were the stools the cheapest option? I'd love to hear what you thought or see any photos you took.
Thanks for your input! ![]()

Who knows if this info will be relevant to the Imperial seating, but at A.R.T I had a friend who sat on the front row of stools WAY off house left, and said a lot of stuff was blocked from her view. I was in the rear-orchestra (Row M). It was a bit far away for my taste, given the immersive nature of the show, but it was fine. I got to see that gorgeous set in its entirety, and of course the show is brilliant either way.

I was seated in the stage left banquette at ART and didn't miss much action. I had a great view of the door upstage and most of the action was clearly visible to me when turning. I could see the performers when in the house and most of the sunken pit with the orchestra although I occasionally couldn't see Scott Stangland if he wasn't at the piano. The cafe tables downstage from me blocked a few moments of any action in front of the stools, like Natasha and Pierre's confrontation near the end but even being seated slightly further around the banquette (facing more downstage) might have given me that view.

I saw the show twice at ART, two days in a row, the first time from the back row of the orchestra and the second time from the sunken right. Both were wonderful, though I will admit that I preferred the sunken right, since it most reminded me of the experience of seeing the show off-Broadway. The orchestra view was great, since, as mentioned above, you could see the entire set, but it does feel a bit like watching a show from the outside, while you're in the middle of the show in the sunken pits (Natasha sang "No One Else" basically right to us from a foot away). But then, of course we did have some blocked views in the sunken right, including some of the scenes taking place in the front walkway. The final scene with Natasha and Pierre was visible to us, though.
It seemed to me that the best seats in the house, and the ones likely to be premium if it had been a Broadway house, were the front rows of the orchestra, since they had the best of both worlds: an unobstructed view of most of the scenes, while still feeling pretty immersed in the action. But maybe others will feel otherwise...?

Saw the show from the front row if the orchestra as well as stage right banquette. I preferred the orchestra seat, as I felt I could see everything so much better and could sit feel the effect of the immersion. The interactions on stage are fun, but not for everyone. Both nights I saw it there were definitely people that were uncomfortable with it.
The barstools seemed a very uncomfortable way to spend two hours with no back.
