I've tried to listen to 1812 two separate times and I get about 5 songs in and have to stop it, it seems like it's just noise to me. I've heard some of Hamilton (although didn't get to see it off-Broadway) and what I heard from it was much better than Natasha.
"- It won't be their traditional proscenium as they are building the stage out over the front section of seats (reducing seating by a third)
I did not know that. It'll be interesting to see."
I'm a subscriber, but get the "preview" package because its a lot cheaper. When I called last week or so to subscribe, it was hard to get the tix to Pierre as there are only 3 previews, that's when they told be about the stage set up. My theater companion could only attend the first preview and they were already sold out.
Overall, I'm pretty excited about the ARTs season, although I am skipping the Eve Ensler piece....mostly because I really hated THIS season's Ensler.
Natasha Pierre's chances might be helped if they secure the casting they are aiming for - a recently announced Tony Awards performer. They are very close, possibly even confirmed.

I'm sure Phillipa Soo would be so torn if this happened! So would I, for that matter. I would be so thrilled of Comet comes to Broadway, I doubt I'd worry about its threat to Hamilton. When it comes down to it, though, I think I'd have to lean toward Hamilton.

Josh Groban?
It would be very odd to have a big male name in the show, as it is the women who are best showcased.
