I was wondering about how national tours are going about booking stops in Canada with its border being closed/having tight regulations of who can go in and out. Has there been a result of no tours not booking in Canada this season? I for one, have not been following much of the Canadian cities tour lineups.

Also, kind of similar but separate. Im wondering if a hard border between Great Britain and the island of Ireland will make it difficult for UK tours of shows to include Belfast and Dublin on their tour lineups.

Northern Ireland is part of the UK so there won’t be any issue travelling there from the mainland. It is advised that take a test but it isn’t law nor is it enforceable.
The Republic of Ireland requires proof of double vaccination or a negative test to enter from either England, Scotland or Wales, Isle of Man or the Channel Islands but it’s an open border if travelling from Northern Ireland.

So it won’t be too hard to travel there with shows.

The US Canada border is now open to nonessential travel with proof of vaccination or negative test. I don't see why touring companies would have any trouble.

From what I understand, Toronto/Mirvish (the presenter in TO) currently has not announced anything for a 2021/2022 season. There is a rumour of November 2021 having their sit-down production of "Come From Away" to start again. Now, I feel like anytime soon we might get something from them.

The other major Canadian cities that tours visit (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, and Montreal) are all presented majority by "Broadway Across Canada" (obviously the same as Broadway Across America), have announced shows, with all the shows coming starting in the spring of 2022, and into the summer and fall.

There is a town near me that usually gets 2 non-union shows for a night or two haven't announced anything either.
