Need LOVE quotes!

Hello everyone! I hope this is the right place for this...

When I was in college, my BFF ( still BFF) was a drama major and I an art major. So our apartment was always filled with musicals soundtracks. She's still in love with musicals and broadway. 

Now she's getting married and Im the maid of honor and I need to make a speech. I do  NOT know my musicals like she does. 

So my question is this - can you lovely people please tell me some love quotes from musicals? Or friendship quotes?

Do you know what her favorite musicals/plays/movies are? There are a lot of love quotes out there but it would help knowing which ones are her favorites.

Oh sorry! I dont know her current loves since I havent lived with her in years. I do know we always listened to Le Mis, Phantom, WIcked, Into the Woods. It was usually the bigger well known classics I guess? I know she loves Hamilton now, we listened to that all bachelorette weekend.

Maybe you can pull a quote or two from some of these:

If you take out the self-blaming portion (You've been a fool, and so have I, etc...), I've always liked the lyric to "Make Our Garden Grow" from Candide for its simple honesty.

I also like Nick's reflections on why he's so sure he loves Lizzie, and his choice to marry her in Baby  - "I Chose Right".

For some humor (I guess only you would know if the joke might land), I find "What Makes Me Love Him?" from The Apple Tree to be a really sweet song.

Personally, I hate the song, but a lot of people like "Love Changes Everything" from ALW's Aspects of Love.

"Gifts of Love" from The Baker's Wife is lovely and sweet.

"Time Stops" from Big Fish

"Come To Me, Bend To Me" from Brigadoon

I know you plan to use the quotes in your speech, but (and this is just a thought) if you have the imagination to source the work, I think it might make a lovely memento/wedding present to take all the quotes you plan to use and create a framed collage of them (i.e., needlepoint or painted/printed canvas).

Iwouldn't worry about her favorites. If you stay with the more popular musicals, more people will be included in sharing in the meaning.

So, if the end result is truly special, you could print it up and frame it for her.

Look at Love Song from Pippin, too.

I like this one from If/Then, especially these days

And if she loves Les Mis, the classic one from that is "to love another person is to see the face of God"
