Just visited the Shape of Things website where there is a link to The Actor’s Fund website. The press release says that a five dollar donation to The Actor’s Fund is recommended. I don’t really have money nowadays, is there any way they would be able to check and see if we donate it or not? I reallllly want to watch this. And I will try to donate once I’m able to get a job again.
I can’t believe this news! Mr. LaBute hardly ever gives interviews, so this is up there as one of the most exciting events of our quarantine! At least, for me.

Looks like it's just recommended, and the stream is free to access.
Holy ****! I love this play! I also love fat pig and reasons to be pretty.
Anyone else watching with this insanely amazing cast?
Lena Hall has been one of my favorites since she won the Tony for Hedwig. I even got to see her on tour in Los Angeles AS Hedwig and she totally blew my mind.
I saw Tim Realbuto do a show at Joe’s Pub and his singing voice is so gorgeous. He also does funny celebrity impressions, but I hope he has the acting chops. I’ve never seen him in a play. But I did look him up and apparently he’s just won a bunch of awards for an independent film, so I’m very excited to see what he does with Adam.
Jonah Platt has such a beautiful voice, again like Realbuto, but I’m not sure of his acting skills. I didn’t get a chance to see him in Wicked, but I do love his brother. He definitely has the look for the role of Philip and I’m sure he’ll be great (especially if he has the same acting gene as Ben lol). I’m definitely a fan of his singing voice.
Katie Rose Clarke was a beautiful Clara in the light in the Piazza on PBS. But I really loved her work in the recent revival of Miss Saigon (haven’t seen Allegiance yet, live or recorded). She brought many layers to that character and I thought her Ellen was fierce and fabulous. Can’t wait to see her in this!
I will definitely be watching and donating! So so so excited for this one!!!!!
I saw Mr. Realbuto in a play called The Weakest Ones off Bway. He is a great actor. According to his IMDb page, he’s won 12 best actor awards for his film “Yes”, with another two nominations. He won the Hollywood Moving Picture Festival award, the IndieFest Award, The Falcon Award in London, etc. Plus 3 additional awards for other projects. Plus it looks like he’s got a lot of film and TV projects coming up on the horizon. I would love the shape of things to have a revival with this cast! And since the playwright is joining the cast for a Q&A after the reading, he must have signed off on the cast beforehand. I think he’s pretty picky.
But according to Realbuto’s IMDb he looks a little bit too busy for a long stage commitment.
Has anyone seen his film “Yes”? Where can I watch it?
I have not seen the film, but I did find a trailer for it! It looks awesome and pretty creepy, actually. And it also features Nolan Gould from modern family and Oscar from my favorite show, the office! And Jenna Leigh Green from Bare.
And Lena hall just did a movie called Becks that was also an Indie. It’s funny how the two stars of shape of things have Indie movies that came out at around the same time. I haven’t seen either, but Becks looks pretty good as well.
I saw “Yes” back in October at a film festival and Tim Realbuto was an absolute revelation in it. There is a reason he is winning all of these awards! The film isn’t out yet though, hopefully soon! He also wrote the screenplay (based from the off-Broadway play he also wrote).
