I just watched the concert version of Sweeeney Todd on DVD and he was fantastic! I wonder if he'll be in the Broadway version this fall?
He was phenomenal in Assassins too! What a talent!

Posted: 7/19/05 at 10:24amI still want to see him as Leo Bloom in THE PRODUCERS. Anyone who saw his short-lived sitcom "Stark Raving Mad" (opposite Tony Shaloub) can see he'd be perfect.

Geez, I had (hmm, still have?) a huge crush on him from his Doogie Houser days... had a neighbor that worked on the show with him once and talked about it for years....
Would LOVE to see him on Broadway again, he is VERY talented...

Posted: 7/19/05 at 10:41amYes. He is very talented. And almost as impressive as his talent, is the way he broke out of that child star straightjacket.

Posted: 7/19/05 at 10:49amYeah, I saw a commercial for it last night. Sadly, it looks like a typical boring CBS sitcom. Hopefully, I will be proven wrong because I love NPH.

Neil PH is actually in e-town filming a movie with Rob Lowe. One of the newspapers interviewed him, he was at the Grand Prix here:
Neil Patrick Harris, best known for his role as TV's favourite teenaged doctor Doogie Howser, had nothing but praise for our city and its rain-soaked faithful.
"The Edmonton people are so laid back, I must say," said Harris, who's in town shooting a Christmas-themed movie with Rob Lowe. "No fist fights so far, so that's pretty good, right?"
They are actually filming near this abandoned hospital in the heart of downtown and some other locations around the city; historic neighbourhoods. It would be great to catch a glimpse. I'm sure our local news and the CBC might have more on him in the future.

Posted: 7/20/05 at 2:34amMaybe while he is in Canada he and his partner can get married here! NO, NOT as a boost in publicity for the movie! But because they can. It's legal here now.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Yes, he and David have been together for quite some time (and as of a couple of months ago, still are). Apparently, David even ushered a couple of nights for Neil's performance in the LA production of "The Paris Letter."

And if you saw The Paris Letter in California, you'd know that God SERIOUSLY blessed Neil...
