this puzzles me -- same-sex marriage is not legal in Italy.
(some regions recognize domestic partnerships, and there is some case law suggesting that legal same-sex marriages performed in other countries must be recognized in Italy, but there is no law permitting or authorizing the creation of a same-sex marriage in Italy.)
perhaps it was only a Church wedding? :)

Please will someone tie NPH down and force feed him high calorie food!??!?!
TOO much weight loss.
Um, yes because he looks like that now.... 3 months after this photo was taken.... while he was in the middle of playing Hedwig.
I had thought they were already for some reason.

whatever2 - Usually when an American couple marries in a different country, they legalize it here and just have the ceremony in the country. Many countries will only allow you to legally marry if you are a resident. No matter the sexual orientation of the couple.
Good for them both! i'm sometimes shocked at the backlash here (not so far in this thread).
Why must we imitate Saturn and eat our children?
When I read the title, I immediately thought Stephen King. Not in a macabre way, though...
In his autobiography slash writer's guide, "On Writing," one of King's most notable points is that saying too little is as bad as saying too much, and that "noun-verbs" is just about the lowest kind of sentence that isn't a fragment. Bereft of context it could mean almost anything, and you can string any two words together that way. His quasi-famous example? "Plums deify." Deify what? How? Who's to say.
Therefore, my stream-of-consciousness thought pattern was "Neil Patrick Harris marries. Plums deify. Or plums marry. Neil Patrick Herris deifies."
