I follow Jackie Burn on Twitter and today she posted a picture of her, Frank Wildhorn, David Harris, and Teal Wicks. Does anybody know anything about this?

Maybe gearing up for a new tour? It's too soon to take it to Broadway? Weird. Or maybe working out some kinks for a new licensed version?

I'm assuming this means that Jackie Burns will be playing Lucy, since Teal Wicks is probably reviving her role as Emma.

Wildhorn, like many other composers, often has his musicals workshopped in New York with the usual Wildhorn performers (Teal Wicks, Jackie Burns, Rob Evan, Michael Lanning, Morgan James, etc, etc) all the time for international productions. His new musical to debut in Japan, Death Note, recently had one of these with some of the guys from Book of Mormon; Excalibur had these workshops with Jackie Burns and Darren Ritchie, etc. since they do not have try-out productions before their world premieres and the creators don't always speak German or Korean, etc.

This is, I believe, supposed to be a production in Australia - Warlow really wanted to play the part over here back in the 90s, but I believe he just had a daughter and was suffering from an illness so it never materialized. After the show became a "hit" on Broadway, they made plans for an Australian production but once he dropped out of that (there is YouTube clips of him singing "This is the Moment" live for promo reasons, that entire production crumbled and never actually happened. There's been a tour but no sit down of Jekyll & Hyde in Australia.

The Australian Opera,tends to produce one musical theatre piece a year beginning maybe 5 years ago - I think they have done Anything Goes and South Pacific, and I believe this has been optioned since they would like to have Anthony Warlow perform. I wonder if Teal Wicks may be invited, but I doubt any of the other Americans will be invited.


Next Frank & Friends concert is at BYU University with Natalie Hill & Brandi Burkhardt, in part of his Monte Cristo premiere there at the end of this month.
