I don't have the picture anymore, it was a backstage picture from one of the ensemble members that posted it on Facebook. Titus' face is painted this shiny red color, and he has some kind of hat on with these huge googly eyes popping out of it. That's all I can remember right now, but if I remember more, I'll post again.
Yes, I am impressed that I have to waste my money on a real bad time before I say I really think they could do a better job.
The Show is past pre-views in Denver. It is right now, if you really feel something is wrong, that you should speak up. I don't mind creativity at all. An Octopus would have been fine but I have this picky thing about cheap looking suits. Especially when they have a hefty price tag attached to them.
You can go to the show and imagine how great it could have been. If I wanted to do that, I would just read the book, save myself a lot of money. I already know the story, own the Movie, so it will take a little more creativity to get me to buy the show. Some people just ask a little bit more for their money.
I didn't see the B&B even though I like the story. I just wasn't in NY at the time. Maybe I will see it, if it ever goes on tour. I do expect more from Disney because I have seen what they are capable of doing. So defend it all you want to. I said Ariel looks great. Where are you, who want more creative, unrecognizable characters who are so defending Ursula's strangeness? How is it that Disney can be so, I don't know? Ordinary?
Your argument falls flat. You will see the show if they all wore diapers. I myself will wait for the tour or revival until they make a few changes. Change is good right? We all agree on this point! As long as it is good.
How they design the show will depend on how much I will pay to see it. As long as people are willing to accept this Pinata from Hades, then they will continue to get sloppy with their costuming and I will skip it, since this time I will be in New York during its run.
I also have heard repeatedly that Act II needs some serious work so there. Please give me even more incentive to see this show?
There's nothing wrong with criticizing something wrong in a show but it becomes tiresome, incredibly dull, and not open to debate at all if people continue to harp about the same things. I don't know if I would call repetitive bashing and refusal to allow the people who approve of the musical to have their say "critical thinking and discussion of theatre".
"I don't see any posts saying they want that, never mind 'most.'"
Actually there were quite a lot of people who said that. Did you happen to find the 12 page Ursula topic in your search? Of course you didn't because it was deleted, but in there there were plenty of people to back up friedrichVT's statement in that topic.
