I saw a really sorry sight in Times Square today.
2 guys standing out in the drizzle. One looked like the rattiest Frankenstein I ever saw . With all the padding, he looked on the thin side. Next to him was what looked like a nerdy teen dressed up as Igor with a brain atop his head. Frankenstein was wearing a sandwich board stating see Young Frankenstein. It was the smallest sign like that I ever saw & you needed the Hubble telescope to read it.
Are things that bad?
There is also a huge van that drives around with a TV screen that plays YF ads.
Tacky would be a kind way of putting it.
When I was walking passed TKTS to go to In The Heights rush with friends, the Igor kept giving me this look and followed me all the way up to the lotto. It was very creepy.
Hey, that was me in the sandwich board! I decided to join the family business.
So, Mel Brooks has all this money off of Producers and the $420 premium seats and is so cheap he says "Dress up in some rage and we'll make a sign out of foam that says Young Frankenstein in the smallest writing possible. AND let's let the people of New York find out the number to call for tickets.

The $ 420 seats have been sleeping with the fishes for quite sometime.
I saw the Igor person randomly walking outside the Palace...he looked like he wanted to collapse. It was the weirdest thing.
I forgot this show was still running. Close the show already. Let Spiderman have it.
I really enjoyed the advertisement dominating my hotel key. Real cute and classy.
"Close the show already. Let Spiderman have it."
Yes. close that disaster so that ANOTHER potential disaster can take the space...
Key word there is POTENTIAL. Also could someone take a picture of them to show us Non-NYCers?

Honestly, I'm just glad to see a rather harmless show (non-jukebox) at least semi-surviving in the Hilton.
That place is a death trap. Let the show run as long as it can in that space.
I will try to take a picture if I see anyone today.
As an Arts Marketing major, I say whatever gets more ticket sales, all power to them.
