I don't think any of the shows currently on Broadway will break the record, nor do I think any of them deserve to.

At what number of shows Phantom will actually close with, will it break 8000?, who knows? Whatever number it closes at I don't really see another show breaking that, I think the Disney's will set records and move into the top 5, but that's about it.

If nobody touched The Lion King, I'd say that it stands a great chance, but I dont know if the move will have an effect on it or not

I'd say Lion King could do it but who knows. We'll see how it pans out; nothing may ever surpass Phantom...
