I don't know if they've put it in stores early as well, but the new SWEENEY TODD is on iTunes already. Full CD for $19.90.

Great news, indeed! Well, minus the fact I have no money...

But I noticed "Color Purple" is released today, too -- however iTunes, I guess, decided not to release it. That kinda sucks.

No, what I meant was I was surprised and saying something along the lines of "Shut up!"

Don't get me wrong, I love iTunes, so when I heard that Sweeney Todd was on iTunes, I was like "Shut the hell up!"

Besides, I didn't put the "he said in a state of surprise" comment for no reason.

iTunes doesn't seem to suit the Cast Recording collector in me. I mean, what are a bunch of songs on my computer going to mean in 20 years? Guess I'm old-school like that. Still, I'm tempted to buy a couple of my favorites before the actual cd gets here...

TheatreMonkey - it is most likely that "The Color Purple"'s record company has not chosen to add it's OBC to iTunes, not that iTunes has chosen not to carry the album. That's why so many other cast albums aren't on iTunes - the record companys don't add them to it.

I will buy another copy later but this will feed my hunger for now. I have the new Sweeney Revival cast recording. Life is SO good. I think I'm gonna skip class to give it a proper listen! Pity I can't skip rehearsal!

Also judging the time of NO PLACE LIKE LONDON, it looks like Sweeney's BARBER AND HIS WIFE is included. which should be a relief for many.

Wow! So I just bought THE JUDGE'S RETURN out of curiousity to see if the final sequence is there. And I'm absolutely THRILLED, the final sequence is indeed included. From when the judge returns to the end. So thrilled.
