Julia and Kendra leave the tour in September.
They ought to bump Maria up. I haven't seen her, but she's certainly paid her dues.

It just seemed rude.
Maybe I was wrong
I was not in the "all knowning world" of the Wicked tour
and from what I knew Julia was Elphaba.
I apologize but I felt they were being rude with me.

I really shouldn't be budding in here, but how on earth could this comment be seen as rude?

Jera- I'm just weird. I dont know.
I always feel someone's being rude to me
I'm like Stephanie from Full House, I constantly go around saying "How rude!"
she was just apoligizing for giving wrong information, it was not rude. It is sad that we are stil lingering on it. I think they will bump of Victoria and mabye they will bring Katie Addams back.
Sho and Megan are in the tour till Nov 26th in Toronto.
here is the article announcing it: http://www.theatermania.com/content/news.cfm/story/8445
I'd love to see Victoria get the role of Elphaba. She is fantastic.

My vote goes to Maria, I saw her last week and she was FANTASTIC!
I really shouldn't be budding in here
No! You shouldn't! Those things are better left to the privacy of your own home. And Neil Diamond songs.
Butting in to threads, however, happens all the time. (Like me, just now.)
I got to see Maria and Victoria both do the role about a week ago in Detroit. While Maria can sing the role, her acting was very weak. Victoria had strong vocals and spot on acting. The best Elphaba I have seen to date. She totally captured the essence of Elphaba.

I heard a rumor that it might be Maya Days, whose apparently been seen several times by the casting directors. Or, my source also said it could be for London (cause she had those big dance hits there). Having seen her in Diva Xmas she can definitly handle it vocally. We'll see...
Oh...Maya Days and her dance hits.
"What's she gonna look like with a chimney on her?"
That's the hook from one of the songs. She's destined for Oz, it seems.
Days would be fantastic. I doubt she is being seen for London... Menzel, her replacement, and the understudies are all already lined up.
Yay, I loved Victoria Clerk in LITP. She's gonna be the best Elphie. I'm happy for her.
Just spoke to my source at the casting agency that casts the tour.
She wasn't ready to give me names just yet, but said they have a wide aray of options and are seeing alot more people new to the show than they ever really have for these principle roles, which leads me to believe that they are shooting for new cast members this time around instead of promoting/ recycling old ones.
What she DID say in regards to recycling is that we may see some of the Elphaba and Glinda understudies from the other productions involved in some format with the tour, but she said she thinks it will remain in the understudy capacity.
She also said the Toronto run is going to be having a two week extention through December 3rd. Megan and Shoshana won't be staying for the extention, and currently the plan is just to rotate the understudies for those two weeks (Jennifer Waldman [Nessarose] will play her last show December 3rd at the close of said extension.) Over the Christmas holidays, the tour is taking a brief hiatus before beginning again in early January in Providence. The new replacements will be rehearsed over that break in December and start when things resume in January.
In regards to Maria Eberline, she won't be staying with the tour much longer, so no chance of her stepping up. Her last show is most likely August 20th in Costa Mesa (she hints to it on her website's message board, and my source confirmed it is what she has also heard.) If she does stay past then (and the chances of that are slim,) she will most certainly be gone before the holidays.
do you work for bernard?
My source does work for BT Casting, yes.

And I am sure that your "source" at the casting agency is just happy as a clam to know you are posting this information on BWW. I hope she doesn't lose her job thanks to your posts!

That made me LOL. Please tell me you're being sarcastic.
Maya Days can DEFINITELY handle the part vocally. I think she'd be fantastic.
Thank you for the information, somethingwicked Very neat.
