New up-to-date, comprehensive rush/SRO site

TalkinBroadway doesn't display rush information anymore (at least, I can't figure out how to find it) and Playbill is not updated very often, so for a while I've been keeping track of all this stuff myself on a spreadsheet listing opening dates, closing dates, and whatever the cheapest ticket is.

My friends keep asking me to email it to them, so I finally just put it online, where it can be constantly updated.

So:
For up-to-date information on how to get cheap tickets to ALL the currently running and upcoming Broadway shows, go to http://www.broadwayforbrokepeople.com !!

Unlike Playbill, I list every show, not just the ones with a published rush/SRO policy, and unlike Playbill, I will update it every time the information changes (that I know of).

I hope you find it useful! If I got something wrong (some of those policies, I haven't verified in years), let me know!

The Lion King has not had SRO since it moved theatre. That policy now applies to Mary Poppins.

There is also a student rush for Mamma Mia. Available when the BO opens on Wednesdays and Thursdays only. $31.50 cash only.

I still have no idea why Talkin Broadway changed around their whole rush listings. They went from having tons of info & being easy to use to almost completely useless.

Small point, but with the restoration fee, the cost of a Wicked lotto ticket is $26.25.

Hair - regularly priced rear mezz seats - $37 rows S-T

West Side Story - partial view seats: mezz (last row) $46.50, balcony: $24

Huh. The last time I did it (which, granted, was 4 years ago), the lottery tickets were $25 exactly. I'll change it.

I'm not 100% sure since I never got them or inquired about them myself, I'm just using info from another thread. But yeah, it's only at the box office day-of (usually after lotto if it's not already solde out). You can't buy them online.

You could add in that Hamlet will have $25 seats in the rear mezzanine (Rows J-L) that can be purchased in advance.

Yeah, they added the restoration fee a couple of years ago, but the lotto guy still announces it like it just happened yesterday.

Whoever said Poppins does not have standing room is wrong. Poppins offers standing room at The New Amsterdam when the show is sold out.
