When will the next block of tickets be put up? I am coming in March and would love to see this.

It's a limited run through January 23. So LCT would have to decide to extend. I hope it does.

Doesn't seem likely...but you never know.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Well LCT put a full page color ad in the NY times yesterday, full of pull quotes and a picture of each cast member. So they haven't given up on the show. Plus its gross gained over $100,000 last week, so if they think can sell tickets without their subscribers, I think they will consider extending. Updated On: 11/15/10 at 04:34 PM

^ And if enough of the cast is able and willing to extend.

I'm sure when they all signed their contracts there was mention of a possible extension. It's a brand-new musical with lots of Tony winners. I'm sure they want it to run.

According to the man working the box office at the Belasco, it's an open run. I'd like to believe him, but he also told me to buy tickets before opening because it would sell out after reviews. Hahaha.

On that note, is the balcony too high for this show? Can you see the backwall of the set and whatnot?

The balcony was totally fine. I saw the entire set. Next Block of Tickets for Women on the Verge

If you do balcony, don't sit all the way on the sides. I was in the front half of the balcony, all the way on the side, and I definitely missed quite a bit of what was going on. If you're in the center balcony or in the center of the sides, you'll be fine.

Some of the magazine print reviews have been better. Both Time and John Lahr (probably two of the country's best theatre critics) liked it a lot with some reservations.

Okay thanks. I'm debating whether or not to just rush it and get a side orchestra seat, or just pay like $50 and sit in the balcony.

The rush seats aren't awful. Though obviously the further back you are, the more of the set you will see.

Right. I mean, I sat in the balcony for "the Scotssboro Boys" and I didn't mind it at all. I figured the Belasco is fairly comparable?

Has this been on TKTS?

So I have some doubts that this will extend seeing how Danny Burstein was just announced to be apart of Follies at Kennedy Center.

Burstein doesn't have the biggest role. As much as I like him, I think he's easily replaceable. I can see them not extending if someone like LuPone wasn't able to continue with it.

Doesn't LuPone have something in May? I thought I remembered hearing that. I bet that if they extend, they will do so for three months or so, and pack it up before they would have to replace.

She has several concerts lined up, but I'm sure you're referring to The Seven Deadly Sins with the NYC Ballet, which is May 11th to the 15th.
