He is adorable, but I am so, so, so worried about the dynamics and connections between the cast just deteriorating... J. Gallagher leaving was tough enough, but I am afraid that having to have a new Wendla and Melchior not only EXTREMELY connect with each other, but have to connect with the rest of the cast in a fairly short amount of time is really going to be straining and tricky.

Kyle is only taking the role for the summer until Hunter Parrish takes over. Jesse is probably going to do the part the first week (or so) after Groff leaves.
Luckily, there is a pretty darn good chance that I will get a chance to get into the city at some point over the summer!
They are professionals expect the best but...the first few performances when anyone takes over is seldom spot on. They won't let them go on until they are ready.
And since the new people are actually a combination of new and "used", there should be few real problems. (If TooDarnHot is accurate about Socha finally being offered the part.)
Have faith people, the producers haven't let us down yet (except for the one short lived thing we don't really talk much about.) And please remember: while we are always going to have our favorites: if the show cannot hold up w/replacements, its not as good of a show as so many believe.
Um sorry to be ignorant but what is the short lived thing? lol

lol... I feel out of the loop! what would this short lived thing we don't really talk about be? :P
and yeah, I think it WILL be a little strange at first now that so much of the OBC has left, but.. that dynamic will happen again! It will :) I actually kind of felt like Groff and Lea were maybe even a little TOO comfortable with each other anyway, to the point where that whole idea that they're supposed to just be getting to know each other for the first time wasn't so believable. So it might actually be kind of NICE to have some new cast members who could bring a little bit more of that.. tension.. into it :)
(don't get me wrong, I LOVE Groff and Lea, I just think they're soooo comfortable with each other that it almost works against them chemistry wise)

Damn, Kyle is SO GOOD. No idea how he shall be in Spring Awakening (though I can only assume he will be fantastic), but as a musician? I am a fan! a BIG one.
What 20 year old should be able to play guitar that well? like honestly.
And he also seems like he has SUCH a great personality! Omg, he has this little podcast thing (that was the link I posted saying "he's so adorable") and it made me laugh soooo much. He is hysterical.
dramama - Socha IS replacing Lea.
But it won't be the same without Jonathon Groff's spit showering performance!
P.S. Anyone else think he's extremely fake?
fake or not, I know 9 out of 10 people on this board secretly own some of that spit. =]

Groff??? Fake?? do you mean you just feel like he over acts, or like he just seems fake in general?
Because truly is one of the most GENUINE people I personally have ever met. The OPPOSITE of fake. If you mean you think he over acts, that I could accept a little more haha. I mean, I disagree, but acting is always a matter of opinion I suppose.
Kyle was at today's matinee and after the show he was being interviewed by a camera crew across the street
