Next Season's Lineup

What new shows (musicals) are coming to B'way this season?? The only ones I heard of are Dracula and All Shook Up, and neither of them look very appealing. Do I smell a year of Broadway flops?? What do you think?

I think Dracula will do pretty good. All I know is, there better be a cast recording.

Has Chitty Chitty been on Broadway before? I dont think so, right? That should be great. The London version got rave reviews.

The London staging was the original production. It has never even played North America before

I saw chitty the first week of the show...
the movie didn't like me, but the show is amazing!
Michael Ball was just incredible there!

Brooklyn sounds moderately interesting. A lot of people on the board seem excited about it.

The end of the first act is simply amazing bwaguy!!!!! with the car flying to the stars!

i'm excited about BROOKLYN as well, i forgot about it. i like CHITTY the movie, but it's nice to see things original to the stage as opposed to movie-cals. Those are fine, but all-new musicals are more exciting, at least for me.

hahaha i can't afford to go back to nyc again next year to see another show... doing it 2 years in a row... as much as i love it, i'm gonna go broke! so here's hoping i don't get hooked on anything that's going to open...

Springer will get here sometime in 2005 after a six week tryout in San Francisco early next year.

DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, of course! Shouldn't fail with the talent in that line-up!

Also looking forward to BROOKLYN, DRACULA, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, and JERRY SPRINGER.

Praying Decca Broadway will put "Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope" on CD!
