Now that The Great Comet and Bandstand have announced closing dates, what show(s) do you think will announce next? Also, curious when you think they'll close? Try to power through until January in order to take advantage of holiday tourists or close earlier than that?
I'm planning to see 5 shows when in NYC in November. Most of my shows (DEH, Come From Away, Hello Dolly, The Band's Visit) will def be playing, but wondering about other shows. Obviously War Paint and Groundhog Day come to mind. What about Waitress? It's the fifth show I hope to see. It's had a respectable run and seems to have stronger returns than WP and GHD, but not as strong as many.

GHD and War Paint are a given. GHD might get some added time due to Bill Murray. Waitress is really unlikely to close though, it's popular and is making a respectable amount of money.

I think War Paint will close first. It seems to have exhausted its audience.
GHD I think will hang on simply because with Bandstand and TGC closing they might think they'll be able to pick up some collateral audience. Probably till November.
I also don;t think Miss Saigon makes it to January.

I doubt Waitress will close anytime soon. It already recouped for its investors and as long as it's making money over its weekly costs, it'll keep on running.

I think Groundhog Day and War Paint by mid-October at the latest. Beautiful, A Bronx Tale, and Kinky Boots could possibly be January closing candidates. I think Waitress will hang on for now.
