It's almost definitely something to do with the UK rights considering there was meant to be a youth group production of it at this years Edinburgh Fringe and it got cancelled last minute due to issues with the rights.

I guess they figured it would not find an audience in the British department.

But, I mean, there WAS a German production, so maybe they should reconsider this.
