It's set for an Oct. 30 release date now?! That seems more than ridiculous to me, even if the digital release is Sept. 30. How difficult was it for the Gershwin estate to give a stamp of approval?
This entire time, I've assumed they already approved the arrangements for the show, so how different could it have been to approve the recording? Hopefully I was wrong... because right now I have a very poor opinion of the estate trustees. To me, they seem foolish for waiting so very long, and have undoubtedly lost sales to theatre patrons, as an earlier poster mentioned.

Very pleasantly surprised in today's mail when I received the preordered CD. Was not expecting it until next month. What a treat!! Everyone sounds fantastic and the musical arrangements are just top notch.
