There are others, of course. Before we start formalizing a recognition of the effect of Covid-19, maybe we ought to get "on the other side of the war." Some (not me) think Broadway itself will be the biggest casualty of Covid-19.
It's as much about remembering a beloved member of the community as it is remembering this virus and the impact it made on the theatre industry. Signed.
Nick Cordero was a great talent but realistically he is known both in America and in the world for his long terrible agony and his tragic death rather than for his actual career. Terrence McNally died of the same illness after half a century of work on Broadway. That said, a plaque at the Longacre would be wonderful.
