"Reality TV star Nicole Richie reportedly is set to relaunch her post-pregnancy career by taking to the Broadway stage and starring in the hit musical "Chicago."

Richie, who gave birth to daughter Harlow last month, is tipped to follow in the footsteps of Ashlee Simpson, Brooke Shields and Renee Zellweger as the latest big name Roxie Hart in the show."

I'd rather the show close. It's had a very nice run. Let's get a new tenant at the Ambassador. That is, after some renovations.

For some reason when I saw CHICAGO twice around Christmas the show just completely knocked my socks off. I never liked it before, but wow was I wrong.

I am nervous about Nicole Richie being in it because it is a dangerous choice I think, but who knows maybe it will bring more people to the show.

And stop saying Chicago should close....there are plenty of Broadway theaters to go around.

MrSweet.... I totally agree with you. The only Richie I wouldn't mind seeing in "Chicago" would be "Lionel Richie" as Billy Flynn (how old is he?) At least we know Lionel CAN sing. What's next... casting Melanie Griffith in "Chicago"? ... uh.. wait... that did happen. Oh mah goodness! from RC in Austin, Texas

LOL, Rosscoe. Don't say that too loud though or certain people will poison your drink.
I love the CHICAGO revival and even last year I was a firm believer that the show still had plenty of steam to go around but when they do THIS to a piece that was originally performed (in the revival) by the likes of Ruthie Henshall, Bebe Neuwirth, Ann Reinking, Chita Rivera, Ute Lemper, and Karen Ziemba, I think it is time to stop. So I've joined the ranks of people who think it's time for the show to go.

I know statements like these are only made to provoke the crazies, and, frankly I want to ignore it, but... That is such a dumb thing to say. Two talented (and bankable) performers such as Anthony and Adam returning to roles they originated is not remotely the same as a no-talent 2nd banana to Paris Hilton being stuntcast.

I hope to god this rumor is fake.
