Nikki Snelson to Depart A CHORUS LINE Tour

Just heard from a reliable source that Snelson's last performance as Cassie will be November 7th in Toronto.

The rest of the company is expected to remain on through June.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Here's hoping they bump up Erica Mansfield from Cassie u/s to full time. She's wonderful! Great acting, great vocals.

Didn't the tour just begin?

Yeah, the tour started in May in Denver.

I took the bus up to Boston last Friday to see the tour, and I really liked Nikki Snelson as Cassie.

Someone posted something on this thread about student rush.

The theatre is probably the biggest theatre I've been to. There were a lot of empty seats in the mezz and rear mezz. The mezz is pretty far from the stage, it felt like balcony-view. I wasn't that far back, and I could barely see any of their faces. I can't imagine what the rear mezz is like. I got my ticket in advance through BosTix.

It'll be 6 months in November, she and I wanna say Jay Johnson only signed 6 month contracts.

I thought she hadn't signed any contract. re: Nikki Snelson to Depart A CHORUS LINE Tour

Maybe she just didn't want to tour anymore. I'm sure doing that role period, let alone doing it going from city to city, is pretty gruelling. Six months is a pretty standard contract length.

Wish I could see Nikki before she leaves.

Saw her in LA and really thought she was a great Cassie, even better than Charlotte's when I saw it on Broadway last year.

re: Nikki Snelson to Depart A CHORUS LINE Tour

well, recently there were auditions for principle & chorus cast members for the tour back in July. so I'm guessing Nikki's not the only one leaving.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Well then, in this case, I guess it's a good thing I saw the tour tonight lol.
Dean: Can I tell you something? Lorraine: That depends on what it is. Dean: I think you're really really pretty. Lorraine: (after a pause) Ok, you can tell me that.

Word on the street is that Robyn Hurder (who recently wrapped up a stint as Marty in the revival of GREASE) will be replacing Snelson as Cassie.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
