When I was in the scrum to buy tickets to Hello Dolly last Saturday, I didn't see an opportunity to enter my Audience Rewards number to earn points. I went online to their site and noticed that it isn't listed with the shows awarding points. I had thought that AR was a Telecharge/Shubert program and that all shows in a Shubert house (sold by Telecharge) would participate.
I also noticed that some Nederlander shows participate. Do you think that it's mainly a matter of timing, so early in the sales process or that they might not join at all (at least early in the run).
I guess, although it's all Shubert enterprises promoting and passing rewards between themselves, that there still would be a liability for the points which would need to be deducted from the show's revenue. So, perhaps, even for something in-house, if a show doesn't need that promotion, it's more profitable to not do it?
Audience Rewards doesn't have anything to do with the theater owners, but with the producers of the shows that choose to participate. Jujamcyn has participating shows, as do many off Broadway and non-Broadway events.
Reward opportunities do not show up until closer to the show starting previews or even after that happens.
As far as earnings points through your ticket purchase, email AR and see if they will issue you a credit if you supple them with the right info.

It's definitely never been all shows in Shubert houses. Back in 2009, A Steady Rain (at the Schoenfeld) definitely did not participate. Well, actually , they pulled out after the tix were bought, but well before the performances happened.
I'd check back periodically because that happened w/It's Only A Play (no option to put the # in & missing from the list of participating shows before previews), but they ended up participating right as previews started.
Funny, I've emailed them several times about "missing" points, have never had any sort of repsonse.

Do you use this page to do so, as opposed to just emailing? I've been pretty lucky as long as I send the email before the performance.

^ Same. My parents bought my entire family tickets to a show with a decent point reward and didn't know to put in my Audience Rewards code. I emailed the service and they very easily added the points into my account after we attended the show.
Through the years, I've used both the web form and email and have gotten my points credited. It may take a month, but they've appeared.
