A spokesperson for the New York Philharmonic told Playbill.com, "At this point we don't know of any plans for a DVD of Company."
For many obvious reasons, no one involved with the New York Philharmonic would have any inside information IF a DVD release was happening (THEY didn't film it), so their statement clearly reflects this.
I know for a fact that it IS being released on DVD. As for when... that's still up in the air, unfortunately.
An intern at Playbill.com wants COMPANY on DVD so he calls the New York Philharmonic to ask about a DVD release... I mean, who ELSE could he call -- Neil Patrick Harris? Katie Finneran? Patti LuPone?. Some receptionist responds with that statement and it becomes official: COMPANY is NOT being released on DVD.
Geez, folks.
