Worst of all? I had to sit in front of his Jersey mother the night I suffered through the show: She was perhaps the most uncouth, loud and obnoxious woman I've ever been around and by the second number, I wanted to strangle her with the obviously knocked-off 'Burberry' scarf she was wearing.

Was there a need to describe her as "Jersey"? Don't base your perceptions on what you see on Real Housewives or Jersey Shore.

Ragtime closes and crap like Birdie stays open? Something ain't right with the world today.

Birdie is closing as well.

amoni2 - Yes, I saw the show three times, but never did I pay to see it. I attended the INVITED final dress rehearsal...and I received free comps for opening night through work as well as one other performance.

I'll see anything as many times as I want if it's free :)

There's nothing wrong with keeping what you were born with. Circumcision has been relatively unnecessary since the advent of soap.

Not really. Any talk of Nolan eventually leads to conversations about his junk.

Deanna is the tini tiny one who says the line..."And by then we'll be too old" right before "Put On A Happy Face."

I know Nolan on a personal and professional level and am saddened by these attacks on his character and his "Jersey mother". It is not my place to discuss his family but can tell you that he has a small but loving family who are not at all into the pushy stage-parent/guardian scene. (And as for the woman who was claiming to be his mother -- that kind of behavior is shameful and insulting. If you knew anything about his family you would know that his real mother would not and could not have done that.)

As for working with Nolan, he is extremely creative, sensitive and diligent and has very good instincts. Like everyone in this business, there are times when we don't see eye to eye creatively, but his input has always been valued and respected.

Please remember when you're writing anything on these boards about an actor or biz person that they're real people who feel these malicious and personal digs every bit as much as you or I would.

The Go-Go boy story isn't BS.

And popgoestheweasel - I'm sure Nolan is a delightful, hard working young man and is a great guy off stage...but, that doesn't make me think he's any more talented. I still find him pretty awful on stage.

And circumcision is necessary in my book Just a preference.
