aha...ok dark-skinned with blue diamonds. That makes sense. I just had a mental image of him being a colour on the darker end of the spectrum, though I didn't remember what.

I guess they didn't bother with all that because it's really Elphie's story. You couldn't have a not-green Elphie...or a not-blonde G(a)linda....but the details of Fiyero just don't seem as crucial. The "different colour skin" point is already brought home. Just some thoughts.

I prefer these discussions on wicked to fangirl postings about specific actors. I really did like the book and read it long before the musical came about.

I went out and bought the book after I bought the recording, befoer the broadway edition came out. I bought my boyfriend the new ediiton, with the excerpt from Son of a Witch and I cannot wait.

And again, what magazine is that? The first few words are cut off.

I kinda wish they kept the blue diamonds on fiyero. Sure, it may look kinda off from farther away, but it DEFINITELY gives him more character.

All they had to do was mention teh fact that it's tribal art, and the audience (who should be somewhat smart) could figure it out.

I don't really consider myself 14. Neither does anyone else. I don't really look 14, and I certainly don't ACT 14.

And yes. Wicked fans are nearly as rabid as Jesse McCartney fans.

You can't really tell from the scan, but the tattoo isn't much of a diamond at all.

When I interviewed Norbert in 'Wicked,' the question of the blue diamonds came up, and he explained why he doesn't have them.

What's sorry to quote? Mitchell DID do the workshop of 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' back then. Mitchell dropped out, and John Lithgow was then offered the role. In fact, the first time Lithgow says he saw Butz was at that workshop of 'DRS.'

Oh, that stuff on his face is cool. It would've been hard to explain, though. And it makes him look like Chakotay, from Star Trek: Voyager.

Good, I'm not the only one who thought he looked like a Star Trek character, haha. I do love how it's written in the book though, about the tattoos. I personally would have liked them to be in the musical, but it'd be weird b/c I don't think Glinda would still like him, lol. On a random note-- when is Son of a Witch coming out?
