From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E Frankweiler is in development at the McCarter theatre. It’s one of my all time favorite books ever.

Not a novel, but I am a big fan of Tracy Kidder's writing, and I'd love to see someone take on some of his work and see what they could do with it, particularly some of his western Mass based work like House, Hometown, and Among Schoolchildren. Kidder writes about real people, with characterizations and depth that are rarely achieved in fiction. The way he weaves all their stories together is a master class in storytelling.
