I got to the theater at 9:00am on Easter sunday, thinking the box office opened at 10. I was the first and only one there. Went to breakfast and came back at around 9:45, and was still the only person there. People slowly started trickling in, and by noon when the box office did open, there were maybe 15-20 people behind me. I don't know how many got tickets, but my cousin and I got two tickets in the balcony. I was sitting to the far right, in row C where even though my view was partially blocked by spot lights I was able to see all the action, and my cousin got center row E, sitting right behind a pole. She only had to****her head slightly to be able to see around the pole, but she said that the view was perfect. The show was great, and so were those ticket prices.
I stopped by the box office this morning at around 11:15 to pick up my tickets and the girl in front of me asked about rush tickets. They had a couple left in the mezz, they just didn't have any together. Maybe some more freed up after the initial crowd.
Has anyone tried this recently? I checked the BroadwaySpotted rush report but unsure how reliable it is. Do they give out what they have left for the performance or do they set aside rush tickets? Trying to see the matinee tomorrow!
Does anyone know if they are doing rush this week? I know some shows discontinue rush for the last week and I didn't want to wait outside at the crack of dawn only to find out that it's not available, lol. Thanks for your help!
Bumping this. Anyone know if there is rush tomorrow and how early are you getting there? Is it worth it to wait? Has anyone asked if there is rush or not on closing? Thanks!
