The SUNSET BLVD story is just that, a story. A)Equity would never allow for that. B)As goofy as John is I don't think he would risk that. C) I know someone who was in the show and said it never happened.

He was once supposed to play Frederic in the 20th Anniversary revival of "Pirates of Penzance" on Broadway but it never happened, alas!
