Didn't know if anybody saw this yet, it's snippets from the SF production of "Legally Blonde". They have parts from "Omigod You Guys", "Bend & Snap", "Chip on My Shoulder", "Legally Blonde Remix" and "So Much Better". THEY LOOK FANTASTIC
It did look a little underwhelming. And I don't think I'd like "Chip on my Shoulder" at all after seeing that. Hope it's one of the ones to go on the trip to NYC.
It looks very interesting and I can't wait to see it. The only parts I didn't like were the "Bend and Snap" number (not catchy enough) but liked Orfeh or Emmett's song (but didn't like Christian either)
The only number that holds your attention is "Omigod You Guys" At least that has a catchy hook. The rest of the songs were incredible boring and instantly forgettable. If this video is any representation of the show, it will close in a "bend and snap".
"The hallmark of aristocracy is responsibility. Oh brother, that got me, that did me in!"
Wow, this looks really bland. People are gonna rag on me for this, but I doubt this will make it once it doesn't win any Tonys. I really like O'keefe too, pity.
Nice clips. "Chip on my Shoulder" and "Blood in the Water" could be ok numbers but they were/are just stretched too thin for too long. I'm hoping to see some tighter versions tonight. Christian Borle is so loveable and plays the role perfect, I've never seen him in anything before but he does such a good job of connecting with the audience and drawing you in.
Oh and JPS is looking good in those jeans, more bending please :)
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
I'm glad to see they aren't taking themselves too seriously. It's over the top bubble gum to the extreme, and that's the only way "Legally Blonde: The Musical" could possibly be done.
The only number I didn't like was "Chip on My Shoulder." Christian's great, but give him something to do. That one needs to go.
They really did cast this well, though. Laura is perfect, Orfeh is hysterical, and Kate Shindle.. where did she come from? Wonderful voice.
Looking forward to this now!
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
