Gone either by passing, or retired from the stage.

Of those now gone, which Broadway performer would you have loved to see?

At the moment, Eartha Kitt. I saw her in the Cinderella tour, but I wish I could have also seen her in The Wild Party or Nine.

I guess I should count myself lucky that I saw two of the people listed, Brynner and Merman.

Jerry Orbach, without a doubt.

I actually already saw Eartha Kitt in The Wizard of Oz as Mrs. Gulch/The Wicked Witch... But I would have loved to see her again. And Definitely Jerry Orbach and Mary Martin.

The late great Queen of Broadway, Ethel Merman, who passed away 25 years ago February 15. She is totally irreplaceable and greatly missed. I was lucky enough to see some of the others mentioned here, but not Merman.

...you know, I forgot about Mary Martin. I hear she was fabulous in Peter Pan. Again, the visuals in this (not to mention the flying
) would have made it worth it.
I suppose Richard Harris and Lawrence Olivier are in my list. What performances would those have been!
