The one in the short episodes, Basil had a cold and Johnny and the other sprites were trying to make Basil laugh.
It was called, "Laugh, Basil, Laugh"
Ok, I'm heading out of this thread before I look like even more of a dork.
Edit: Testing, I think you were thinking about Lily from your previous question.
Isn't Lily the purple one? I think Ginger is the red one...I'm not sure though.
Hahah- this is so pathetic.
did anyone see the episode Pasek and Paul wrote? I was wondering how it was.
Lily is the long-haired blue one, if I am not mistaken. She's sort of a "yoga-esque" type.... LOL
It was a furry lil red guy.....
Next week --- Sutton !! YAY !!!

Ok, I think I got it now! lol
Ginger is the one you were to referring to.
The one holding the telescope.
Also, the same one who thinks their antenna is "too curly"

pooey- next Sunday program (1/21) is a rerun.
I am being way too amused by this. I don't know whether that is sad or funny.
Wow.. this is sad ! LOL
No, Sweet... Ginger was one of the original (2) Sprites from the 5-minute shows (along with Basil)
This was a little red furry guy (looked like a ball with eyes)
He gave the telescope to John (right before it gets stuck to him)
I looked up the cast on-line... no mention of him.. He might have been an imposter !! LOL (not a true Sprite)
On a sidenote.... did I see Jen Barnhardt's name listed in the closing credits?

Well,
There is: Basil, Ginger, Lily, Root, and Sage
I heard something about Jen Barnhardt being apart of it a while ago but I haven't heard or seen anything recently.
Maybe she is in the closing credits...I shall have to look closer next time.
OH! I know what you are talking about Testing. I don't know if it has a name- but there was a bright green one too. At the end of Root's Dadoots (or whatever it was)- Root hugged a green one.
No idea what they are hahah.
Yes, Jennifer Barnhart is credited as a puppeteer, maybe even a "special puppeteer" or something like that. I noticed her name yesterday.
I know Pasek and Paul wrote the song John sang in the first episode about being obsessed with his video game. I don't know if they contributed to the second episode. I haven't watched it yet (it's on my dvr, will watch it with my kids later this afternoon).
Their video game song was good, though I liked Mark Hollman's two songs for Basil even better.
Testing, there a couple of fuzzy little guys in the episodes. I can't remember what they called them, but they aren't Sprites.
OMG this is the greatest thing EVER.
LMAO
I hate it when I get the dadoots....LMFAO.
There are a couple of "fuzzies" (I think thats what they are called) in the show... think he might be Seymour the Schmole...
and yep... Jen was in the closing credits as Puppet Builder...
(or something like that)
Those 'Fuzzy little guys' are called Fuzzies. And that is what the red thing was that handed Johnny the telescope. It wasn't a sprite at all.
I just loved the sound effects !! (and visuals) when Root had the Dadoots !!!!
You just know there has to be a great duet with John and Sutton next week !!!
Wonder why they took Ms. Mollystew (sp?) out of the show....?
My fave line from the "shorts" had to be...
"Keep it down... my upside-down cake is turning right-side up"

Yea, I loved me some Ms. Mollystew!
Petition for Ms. Moldystew (I think) to return!!
However, I am glad to see Natalie on. It's weird because I still see her as "Gary Coleman-like"
I had no idea until today that Ms. Mollystew was John !!!
He does the voice of Sage now, which I think someone mentioned...
The Lily, Spanish thing is getting really old. "Claro que sí Johnny." I know we are trying to teach little kids Spanish, but it seems they are just throwing random Spanish words into every kids show.
Turbo-Car Johnny is still my favourite song, and Heads Up is too catchy. I do not think I am a huge fan of slower theme song, but the part with the Sprites definitely fits.
But I "just can't get enough" of this show.
By the way... why did we never figure out what colour he painted the picnic table? He started painting it red, sat on wet paint, then asked Lily what colour he should paint it. Then in today's episodes... it was colourless.
The mystery...
SweetQ- I had the same problem. I was imagining Gary Coleman still. So when do the kids learn about Schadenfreude?

CyCoSpAz2 - I feel really weird "picking on things" but...
I noticed the paint thing too.
Also, when he was dressed up as that bush, you could see the leaves on his hands were attached by big rubber band things. Now, obviously that's how they are going to be attached but couldn't it be disguised a bit more?
LiTtLeDaNcEr, Schadenfreude you ask? lol. "....Ex's getting STD's..."
I'd like to hear the parents perspective on that!
Go, Gwen, sing it! lol
