I loved the songs from STREETS OF FIRE too. I remember the summer of '84. Everyone was listening to PURPLE RAIN...I was rockin' out to "Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young" and "Nowhere Fast"
MUSIC VIDEO: TONIGHT IS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE YOUNG

Posted: 6/16/12 at 4:45pmI love the two Steinman songs from Streets of Fire as well--the best drag queen act I ever saw was to Tonight Is What It Means to Be Young in LA.

I love the fact that Steinman scripted his own videos. The original Pandora's Box S&M video for It's All Coming Back to me Now is brilliant--thanks to Ken Russell as well (apparently they used the cast of London's Cats at the time)

> that doesn't mean he can abuse it by hating on everyone else
but, princess, he doesn't hate on everyone else. ("i've told you kids a million times to stop exaggerating.") his targets are always carefully selected, and -- for the aforementioned three reasons -- his aim is usually true.
as in this case.
you be sure to get back to me when he starts hating on mother theresa, though.

Dear defyinggravity2,
You, of all peole shouldn't be telling anyone to shut up. Your posts are pointless and full of mis-information if not out right lies.

Jordan would never trash Mother Theresa.
I would, however: She was a dictator-loving zealot and a dingaling who actively accepted money from the corrupt and whose hospitals and orphanages were dirty, unsanitary and violent. She is/was the Paris Hilton of the corrupt Catholic church.
Our Jordan is just a poster on a site. Priorities!

I admit alot of my posts aren't the best on BWW.com, but some aren't too bad. Like those where I ask suggestions for shows, I really do need to know which shows to spend money on, and which are a waste. Sometimes, I just like to hear to opinions of different users.
And I can be telling him to shut up, because he has no right to be mean on this site to people he has never met before. Like I stated earlier, he believes his "Legend" status and 7 year old account give him the right to be superior to others, which it doesn't. He may have been here longer than many of us, but that still doesn't mean he is superior to the newer users like myself.

Posted: 6/17/12 at 10:51amGuys, guys, please. He's a bitch, we're all bitches, that we've not figured that out yet shows we need to get with the program. Now... the Jim Steinman dog and pony show! (Or is that fairies and Lost Boys?)

> he believes his "Legend" status and 7 year old account give him the right to be superior to others,
and he shared this belief with you WHEN, precisely?
(Did he offer to throw in a copy of "the watchtower"?)
I hesitate to give this line of discussion the validation it so desperately craves by perpetuating it, but the light from logic is getting further and further away with your every successive post.

LOL ... Thanks!
Feel free to use it as often as you want - I'll let you know where to send the royalty check. :)
It no doubt can even be applied to some of the more errant thoughts I've posted myself over the years ...

Random thoughts:
1. I love Steinman's music
2. I love Meatloaf and constantine Maroulis
3. I'm one of the four remaining living fans of DOTV
4. Jordan's posts are among the most clever on this board.

Sheesh.
I guess they don't teach "IF YOU CAN'T STAND THE HEAT GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN" in school these days.
