I’m really not big on biopics of people who are still alive to be quite honest. I also found that ON YOUR FEET would’ve been better served as a revue/tribute concert as opposed to a book musical. The best parts for me were Villafañe and the choreography, but that book was…a confluence of choices that spent Act II dwelling on a bus accident for 40 minutes. 

It was such a tonal shift that it really killed the momentum and made “Coming Ouf Of The Dark” feel forced before ending with a megamix  because…of course
